Botanist update and accompanying loot are

Botanist has been updated with their new look! Some members may need to press Ctrl+F5 or Shift+Ctrl+R, or clear the cache on their mobile device in order to view the changes.
In order to compensate members who purchased the Botanist Bag from the Diamond Dust shop with real world currency, and do not prefer the updated version, a Diamond Dust refund window will be open for one week, as of the publishing of this post. We are unfortunately unable to compensate for Botanist items acquired through trades and Sugar Stars; we apologize and deeply appreciate your understanding.
200 Diamond Dust will be given per item OR Goatling. Simply create a item or Goatling trade for @GoatlingStaff or @Krisgoat to offer on. Please type 'DD Refund' in the 'Looking for' text field. Once the Trade is complete, your account will be credited with 200 Diamond Dust per item or Goatling.
Please only accept trade offers from @GoatlingStaff or @Krisgoat in order to receive the Diamond Dust refund, and only create a trade if you're truly unsatisfied with the updated version - we humbly ask that you do not create trades simply to repurchase and try your luck at a different item.
Once the refund window is closed, the Botanist Bag will return to the Diamond Dust shop for the remainder of the Summer season for those who would like to purchase the updated set.

- Members may win multiple times in a row.
- Members may also snipe bids (bid as the auction is about to end).
- Members may do whatever they want with the items after they have won them. Such as sell, give away, hoard, or even pawn.
- Auctioned items will not retire.
- We understand that auctions may become intense, but please do not be frustrated or discouraged. There's always next week!
- Members who pester or disrespect others who have placed bids and/or won an auction will be permanently banned from Goat Mail and Forums.

Greetings Fanlings!
We have discovered that this year’s Spring Diamond Dust Special was heavily lifted from an existing character skin from a well known game franchise. Unfortunately the designer has since been banned from the site, and the Spring Diamond Dust box has been removed for now to prevent more sales.
Since we are aware this has been a point of contention, we also wanted to clear up some confusion: this past October, when we had a similar situation arise with one of the Monster Masquerade mascots, the user in question was not banned because we did not have a clear, written rule in our TOS against submitting copyrighted designs. It was mentioned in our design guide, and we trusted our userbase with integrity, and we decided it seemed unfair to ban based off of a TOS rule that did not exist at the time of the offense (and instead revoked any future submissions from the user in question). However, the written rule was added to our TOS following that incident, thus the non-repealable ban in this scenario.
All of this being said, the Botanist AD and accompanying items will need to be replaced, since we cannot keep a copyrighted designs on our site. Artist efforts towards this replacement will begin immediately, and the existing items will be automatically updated when the new art is complete.
We want to sincerely, sincerely apologize to anyone who has purchased a Botanist Bag in these past three months. We know this isn’t good news, and we’re so sorry to anyone who’s grown attached to the design. Since the Bag was on sale for such a stretch of time, we’re currently discussing how to handle the over one-thousand bags already sold. Additionally, the replacement design will be added back to the Diamond Dust shop for an extended period due to this unprecedented situation. More details will be released once they’re settled.
In the future, if a member creates a Goatling design that takes inspiration from an existing character or design, they must disclose this in their submission. We are a very small team, and while we try to thoroughly review every design (especially designs submitted for Diamond Dust), we simply cannot be familiar with every franchise out there, so in a similar vein, if members see a design that they suspect is too similar to an existing character or design, please privately contact a staff member immediately. The help is very much appreciated, since situations like this put our entire site at jeopardy.
Once again, we’re so sorry. We’re devastated to have our trust broken like this again within a year. We’re currently working hard behind the scenes to try to patch this situation up, as well as juggling the heavy workload that comes with the changing of the seasons. We very humbly ask for your patience regarding the Botanist Bag and our regularly scheduled monthly and seasonal updates.
