Short Story
Born in the countryside, this goat loves spring and summer. He loves to pick flowers and eat honey. Yet he is allergic to a lot of things. For an odd reason, he has more bee friends than goat friends! Cute and strange but still holds a place in many hearts.

- Auctioned items will not retire.
- We understand that auctions may become intense, but please do not be frustrated or discouraged. There's always next week!
- Members who pester or disrespect others who have placed bids and/or won an auction will be permanently silenced.

Bio: Seventh in line for the throne of the Rose Kingdom, Fiore has never felt the burden of the crown; nor, in general, the burden of any responsibility at all. A poet and self-avowed romantic, he spends his days wandering the courtyards, pen in hand, and flirting with any visiting craftsmen, bards, or noble boys. Earnest and quick to fall in love, he sees the world with the naïveté of both a child and a storyteller. He is dramatic, verging on the theatrical, and has on more than one occasion gotten lost in the woods seeking a notebook he had tossed dramatically away from him, upon realizing that he was rather proud of what he had written in it. Short Story
Like meadowlarks I chase his light
his softness warm and morning-bright
His eyes entrap me in their mists
A thousand summers in his kiss
“No, no, no,” Fior muttered, crossing out the word mists so hard his quill tore through the paper and then, upon consideration, ripping the whole page out of his notebook and crumpling it, “His eyes are like the ocean, but no, that doesn’t sound as good, like a shining pool, a glacier, a stream…”
“Lake? You could rhyme it with embrace . Sort of.”
Fio looked up to see a tall figure leaning against one of the topiaries.
“Pasera!” he cried, dropping his notebook to the grass and rushing towards her. “When did you get back from Estra?”
“Just today,” she replied, locking him in a hug. “I’m going to the High Court in Arkinos tomorrow and I thought I’d spend a night here.”
“It’s been ages since you last visited! The palace just isn’t the same without you.” He pulled back to look at her. It had indeed been years since she had left the palace to marry the King of Estra, and she seemed to age decades each time he saw her.
She noticed his staring and rolled her eyes. “Being a Queen is hard work, you know. You should ask Ciela about it sometime, if you ever stop hiding in these gardens.”
Fio sighed dramatically. “Hard work? I’ve never even heard of such a thing.”
The edges of her lips curved up, but the smile seemed slightly forced.
“It was a joke, sister.”
She paused, and then said quietly: “Was it?”
He opened his mouth to speak and then stopped. She was no longer smiling.
“I’m not hiding here,” he said sullenly, after a pause. “I’m working on my poetry. The beauty helps me think.”
She ignored him, turning away. “You could do the same, you know. Leave the Rose Kingdom. Marry into power. You know you’ll never be King with six older siblings. ”
“I’ve said it a thousand times,” Fio said, walking back towards his fallen notebook and picking it up, “I don’t want to be king. And I want to marry for love.”
