Design Pass Guide
Design OptionsWith a Design Pass, a member gets to choose any Goatling and/or items to be added to the site. A Design Pass comes with 1 of 4 options:
Option A: 1 Goatling Option B: 1 Goatling with 1 matching RAD Option C: 1 Goatling with 1-5 items Option D: 1-9 itemsFor Option C and D, an openable container item (that will not count towards the item limit) will be needed. Art Staff will design an accompanying container if a design/idea is not provided by the Design Pass holder.
Design Pass item types can include: Goatlings, Goatling RADs, openable boxes, HA Buddy items, food, books, toys, Display Name Icons, battle weapons, battle defense items, Battle Pets, battle dodge items, healing Items, and collectibles.
The Design Pass holder may choose their own designs and/or ideas. Or (with clear permission provided) designs/ideas from up to 2 other members. For example, the Design Pass holder can choose a Design that 2 other members have collaborated on, or they may collaborate with up to 2 other members. Design Passes are not a physical item, so they cannot be traded or given to another member. Design Pass holders also may not accept bribes in order to involve others in collaborations.
As long as the designs follow our Design Guidelines and Terms Of Service, any theme is acceptable, and the items will not need to go through voting or a contest.
The Design Pass holder must redeem their Pass within a year of receiving it. The sooner the better, to give our Art Staff a comfortable amount of time to prepare the new items before the next round of Passes are released.
The Design Pass holder will receive a free copy of the completed designs. If the Design Pass holder collaborates with up to 2 other members, all members involved will receive a free copy of the items. The designs will also be available for all members in the Princely Premiums VIP Shop.
How It WorksCurrently, the main way to obtain a Design Pass is through the Tip A Mod event.
Once a member has received a Design Pass, a Goatling Staff member will contact the Design Pass holder to discuss their ideas, and work out any issues that may conflict with our rules and guidelines. Once a plan has been set, Art Staff will begin preparing the items! Depending on Staff schedules, workload, and the availability of the Design Pass holder, it may take several months to complete the items.
Once the items are finished and uploaded to the Princely Premiums VIP Shop, an update will be posted in the News to announce the new items, and to credit the original designer(s). If they choose, the Design Pass Holder may remain anonymous or also be announced in the News post.
Design Restrictions
Design Passes are not a physical item, so they cannot be traded or given to another member Designs from banned members cannot be used, even with permission Designs cannot mimic, or be RADs of, existing or retired items and Goatlings, with the original designers permission some cases are an exception Item titles should be short when possible, and not contain apostrophes Items should also not be named after members, or people in general. (i.e. "Krisgoat's Super Favorite Rainbow Pair Of Pajamas") Items cannot grant new functions (i.e. a Display Name Icon that boosts hunger, animated HA buddy items, etc.) As the item will be stocked in the Princely Premiums VIP Shop, the price will be determined by the Shopkeeper. In this case, anywhere from 2 to 14 million Sugar Stars.
